The Bendigo Neighbourhood House receives its core funding from the Department of Victorian Communities, with further funding from the Adult Community and Further Education Board enables us to provide educational courses at low cost. Other occasional grants enable the provision of other programs special programs offered from time to time.
The House is staffed by a paid coordinator at (28 hours per week) and a team of volunteers. In addition, there is a paid part time Adult Education Coordinator, several sessional trainers.
A Committee of Management made up of House users, House volunteers and other community members, oversees administration of the House. The coordinator and the Executive Officer of St. Luke's Anglicare (formerly St. Luke's Family Care) are executive officer members of the management committee.
The day to day management of the house is the job of the coordinator. The House is currently used by over 150 people per week, and is constantly changing, with many new programs, new developments and new faces.
